I have know Kari Bernardi since March of 2001.  Being a professional chef and instructor in the field of raw, organic and whole foods for over 11 years, I have met many people in this field.  Kari and I have worked together on many events and projects from catered fine dining events, catering retreats, organizing and presenting classes.
In my experience, Kari is one of the finest examples of a raw/organic chef, teacher and consultant.
Kari is highly effective at connecting with people to share new ideas and concepts.  She also prepares delicious food in whatever style she is presenting.

I worked with Kari Bernardi and Living Light Culinary Institute for years, and found her
to be not only a talented chef, but an exceptional teacher with the patience, skill, humor
and compassion necessary to help our students feel the confidence and support they
needed to blossom. She was a real asset to our company, and I know that she will
bring her culinary talent and teaching skills to many people in the world. She is also
very community oriented and is great at motivating groups of people to do good work

I've had the pleasure of being a student in several of Kari's classes in the
past few years.  She is a dynamic presenter, lots of fun to observe, and
I've always appreciated the high standards she sets for herself and for
her students.  She is a total professional - her classes are meticulously
planned - and because she's not worrying about details, she can focus on
her students.  Kari's relaxed, humorous personality and teaching style set
her apart from any other teacher I've experienced, and her flair for food is
without equal.

What I love about Kari is she's honest, authentic, respects her students,
has fantastic knowledge, approchable energy, and is a fantastic teacher.
Kari guided me to trust my palate and cultivate more taste awareness. I
always remember her asking me about this one soup and if I would serve it
and how I thought the taste was.
She was guiding me with questions and this showed me, in a very gentle
and tangible way, to be more confident in my palate and myself as a
person. I remember this lesson to 
this very day. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, love of food
and energy with the world :)
